Celebrating the 2016 UNESCO International Arts Education Week

Dear friends,

International Art Education Association (InAEA) and International Society for Education through Art (InSEA) would like to invite you to join us to celebrate 2016 UNESCO International Arts Education Week (23-29 May, 2016). http://waae.edcp.educ.ubc.ca/?page_id=350

Theme: Arts Education for Sustainable Development

  • This theme carries on from International Arts Education Week 2015 and recognises the ongoing importance of arts education in contributing to local and global awareness of cultural, economic, environmental and humanitarian concerns. Arts Education with a core emphasis on doing/making/presenting offers exciting, dynamic, cross generational opportunities for action.

  • Opens until May 16
  • Format: online videos, digital images (art works, student works, posters), music, music videos… If you have other creative ways of participating in this event, please let us know!
  • Submit art works with the submission form to inaeaorg@gmail.com
  • Online exhibition date: 23-29 May, 2016
  • Virtual world exhibition opening date: May 22, 10 am (PST).

Certification:

  • All the participated artists will receive a PDF participation certification via email after the event.
