Discussion:
We tried to use voice chat in the meeting first this time. However, it cannot world really well. Therefore, we back to the text chat again. We introduced ourselves at the beginning.
We talked about the Virtual Worlds – Best Practices in Education conference first. Most of the sections were very educational and successful. However, because some technological problems, not all the presenters can do what they want to do.
We also talked about what we found when we are teaching in Second Life. It seems like to make students involved, or get students interests in Second Life is not as easy as we think it is just a game. We are not sure about it is just for art education major students or for all college studetns. Maybe there should have a research or experimental class about how get students involve in Second Life class.
Field trip: Stone’s Giant Doodle House http://slurl.com/secondlife/Dasom/96/128/2 It is only part of Stone’s campus, but it is fun and creative. 🙂
Next meeting time: May 4th 2009 (Mon.), 6:00 pm PDT (SL time), we will share our NAEA conference experience in Minneapolis! Wish you can join us in world! 🙂
